- Installation Notes Organic Software Sampler
- ──────────────────
- Each of the packages are provided in the form of a self-extracting
- LHARC archive (LHARC (c) 1991, Yoshi). For example, WML22*.EXE contains
- the complete WML package (minus INSTALL which I'll get to in a minute).
- Each archive contains the BBS files FILE_ID.DIZ and DESC.SDI.
-
- To install a package:
-
- 1. Type "A:INSTALL" or "B:INSTALL" (whichever is appropriate)
- (without the quotation marks).
- 2. A menu of available software will appear. Highlight your choice
- and press ENTER, then just follow the prompts on the screen.
-
- If you do not have INSTALL, use "md" and "cd" commands (for example,
- MD \WML then CD \WML) and extract the archive while in that directory
- (just type the name of the EXE file).
-
-
- Placing on a BBS
- ────────────────
-
- If you operate a bulletin board system or want to upload these
- packages to a BBS (please do!) just upload the EXE archives (e.g.,
- WML*.EXE). Some BBSs require ZIP or ARJ archives. To put WML in a ZIP
- file, for example, just do "PKZIP WML22j WML22j.EXE". You can also
- unpack the archive in an empty directory then use ZIP or ARJ.
-
-
- Distributing on Floppy Disks
- ────────────────────────────
-
- To distribute just put an EXE archive along with INSTALL.EXE on a
- single disk. That's it! To be more specific:
-
- * WJS - WJS*.EXE and INSTALL.EXE
- * WVH - WVH*.EXE and INSTALL.EXE
- * WML - WML*.EXE and INSTALL.EXE (for 360k disks INSTALL.EXE will
- have to be on a second disk)
- * WFF - WFF*.EXE and INSTALL.EXE
- * WTB - WTB*.EXE and INSTALL.EXE
- * ANGELIB - ANGEL*.EXE by itself (there is no need for INSTALL)
-
- Note: BBS users have no need for INSTALL.EXE. Some packages, such as
- WVH and WML, will require two 360k disks or else you can eliminate
- INSTALL and provide instructions instead.
-
-

- and enters City & State automatically. Concurrent use of
- dot matrix and laser printer. LaserJet III/PCL-5 scalable

- including ASCII & DBF. Duplicate checking. Indices and
- filters. Query. Postal bar codes printed on laser output.

-
- WJS*.EXE What Job Summary?

- window, printer & soft font functions, and much more.
- 60+ routines (with mouse support where applicable).
-
- WFF*.EXE What Floppy Format? (Freeware)
- Menu companion to FDFORMAT.EXE, a public domain disk
- formatter with extended densities (up to 1.72Mb on a
- floppy!) and features like a 7-second re-format. FDFORMAT
- can be found as FDFORM18.ZIP on BBSs.
-
- WTB*.EXE What Tape Back-up? (Freeware)
- A simple menu system for tape back-ups. WTB keeps track
- of the last time each tape was used, suggests the next
- tape, and directly controls the tape drive using batch
- commands to your tape software. Mountain and Jumbo
- commands provided; use an ASCII editor to add others.
-
- INSTALL.EXE Installation programme for all packages. Include this
- when distributing on floppy disk. Not necessary for
- BBSs. INSTALL is NOT packed; just COPY it to each
- master floppy disk you make.

- I can be reached by mail or BBS; sysops, vendors, and registered
- users (or those intending to register) may also reach me by phone.
